Poster Presentations

Notification emails will be sent to abstract submitters in June 2021.

If your abstract is selected for a poster presentation, detailed instructions will be provided and support available, but it is important to be aware of the following key facts and timescales when submitting your abstract:

  1. Poster and Audio files
You will be given unique log-in details and asked to upload an e-poster and audio file to the congress platform by the end of August. The exact date along with the specification details will be confirmed in your notification email and on the congress website.
  2. E-poster sessions and chat rooms
E-poster and audio files will be available for delegates to view during and after the congress at their leisure however you will be expected to be available at the specified e-poster session times in the programme schedule to attend networking poster chat rooms as well as respond to questions coming in via direct emails from other attendees across the duration of the congress.

All delegates will be asked during the registration process if they are happy for the recorded presentation/poster/audio, and any related recorded Q&A session, to be available on the virtual platform for up to 3 months post-event and potentially on the WMS website for Members to access thereafter. If you don't consent, your presentation recording, and related recorded Q&A session, will be available for viewing during the conference then removed within 1-week post-conference.

Poster Highlights

The Prize Committee will review the E-Poster presentations prior to the virtual congress and the Organisers will notify the successful presenters by TBC. Those presenters will then have a short time to book a recording session with the technical team. The Poster Highlights session is on Friday, 24th September 2021. There will be TBC consecutive pre-recorded presentations followed by TBC live Q&A. The presenter should prepare 3-5 PowerPoint slides (including introduction, main findings, main messages, acknowledgement) to show during the pre-recording and must present data as indicated on the poster.
